‘Haku’ is named after the character from Spirited Away, who transforms from a young boy to a dragon with white scales and turquoise fur. I took the inspiration for the turban pattern from the belly scales of the dragon. It is made from white faux leather, with stiff plastic fibres stitched between the sections to create a Mohawk effect. Clear pearlescent beads and sequins in varying sizes represent the dragon’s scales and enhance the magical effect. The lining is made out of turquoise silk.
